Mindfullness & Wellness

Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally,”

Mission

At Thrive With Me, we want to inspire children and families to thrive, through connection, love, happiness, self-efficacy and awareness.

Implementing mindfulness and meditation skills into a child's daily rhythm as well as our own, has a range of benefits such as connection to self, self-regulation, emotional well-being, resilience, focus and attention, reduces stress, anxiety, depression, healing and much more.

Mindfullness activities/resources

There are many ways we can implement mindfullness into our child day.

Start the day with mindful brushing, as a parent you can practice this with your child. When your child sees you doing this they will be curious and likely want to try for themselves.

  • Take your toothbrush and add the toothpaste then simply brush your teeth and stare out the window or into the mirror.

  • The key is to not get distracted, multi task or talk.

  • Think about the strokes of the brush on your teeth and your gums, the textures, feelings and sensations, the bubbles, the water and the taste.

  • Here you are simply being present in the moment and taking care of your pearly whites!

  • Now share with you little one.
