What are the benefits of Counselling?

Our greatest tool is our relationship and authentic connection. A big part of my work is to support children, teens and their parents and/or primary caregivers to work through attachment, family dynamics, issues, and how to best support each others needs to gain a better understanding of one another, build stronger connection and strengthen attachment.
Counselling allows a safe space for a child, young person and/or parents to work through and navigate difficulties individually or together in their lives and to gain a better understanding of how to best support themselves and others. Through the counselling process valuable skills are gained to support individual and family needs to move through life and into the future. Counselling aims to help find individual strengths, help solve problems, gain clarity, release negative energy and pain, support positive communication and respectful relationships.

What is involved in Counselling?

I use humanistic, strength-based, trauma informed, and neurodiversity affirming approaches. I am trained in a variety of individual and dyadic modalities so I am able to integrate a range of therapeutic techniques from movement, mindfullness, creative, talk and play therapy to best suit the unique needs of each person I work with.

My aim is to hold space for kids, teens and families to feel seen, heard, and empowered to express themselves and explore their challenges, issues and concerns in a safe and caring environment to grow, transform and heal.
